Irony… sweet, sweet irony.

So, it turns out that Orwell, author of the futuristic dystopic novel “1984” about a government which spies on its citizens, was himself spied upon for long periods of time by his own government’s MI5 division.

Irony, thy name is politics.

Amazing! Not unlike the list of Canadians who were tracked by the RCMP during the ’50’s thru the ’70’s … like Tommy Douglas, Stephen Lewis, Ed Broadbent …. you know … individuals who are a ‘threat’ to national security. Good post!

But just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they’re not out to get you.

    Happy ecosocialist New Year, Paul!

I’m writing to ask a favour … your site includes a link to Climate and Capitalism, but the link goes to the old URL.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could change it to
    http://www.climateandcapitalism.com

    Thank you ….

Ian, thanks for the tip. I’ve actually been away on vacation, so please forvive the lateness of my reply. I’ve switched it over to your new domain name so everything should be up to date over here.

    Cheers.

    Paul
