2 New Polls Released: VERY competitive race shaping up

Two new polls, one by Decima (available here), the other by Strategic (available here) have been released.

Even with the dismal polling data results for the New Democrats in the Decima poll, the NDP rolling average is still on the rise, albeit slowly. (see below)

We’re also continuing to see the Greens slowly but surely increase in both the weighted average and rolling average trend lines.  For the first time ever, the Greens have had both of their trend lines above the 8% threshold for three straight polls (in fact they’ve never been able to accomplish that for more than one set in the past).

The Liberals and conservatives are now in a dead heat on both trend lines.

With these new polls, the Paulitics weighted average and rolling average trend lines now look like this:

(Click here for the Paulitics Polling Resource and long-term trend graph.)

The party standings in the respective polls are as follows:

Liberal: 33

Conservative: 32

NDP: 13

Bloc: 10

Green: 9

Liberal: 35

Conservative: 31

NDP: 15

Bloc: 11

Green: 8
